Affliction - Banned

Affliction: Banned is an mixed martial arts event co-promoted by Affliction Clothing and Adrenaline MMA. Scheduled to take place on July 19, 2008 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The evening's main event will feature the last undefeated Pride FC heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko against former two-time UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia for the newly-created WAMMA heavyweight championship. The one hour undercard will be broadcast on Fox Sports Network and The Fight Network while the main fight card will be broadcast live on pay-per-view. Also appearing at the event is heavy metal band Megadeth who will be performing live. The announcer will be Michael Buffer.

Vernon White, who was originally scheduled to face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, was removed from the card after testing positive for a banned substance following a May bout. Edwin Dewees has been announced as a replacement.

Although Bravo were scheduled to show Affliction Banned on tape delay on 20 July in the UK, a post on the forum of the website stated that there will be a delay and the event will not now be shown at that time.
